About the Soloist

Karen Kevra has won attention as one of the country's outstanding flutists through her distinctive warm and extroverted performances and has been hailed as "having a musical focus and depth seen in few flutists anywhere."

Kevra's recording of Works for Flute and Piano of Louis Moyse-CRI CD888 earned a 2003 Grammy nomination and accolades from numerous American reviewers. Fanfare Magazine called the disc, "A must for flute fanciers and anyone else with ears.", and Classics Today.com gave it a top 10/10 rating and awarded it "Disc of the Month". Romantic Music for Flute and Piano, her latest CD was praised by the Boston Musical Intelligencer for "sublimely satisfying flute-playing, while superstar flutist Sir James Galway called it "an outstanding performance".

Kevra has performed throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe (including performances at Carnegie Hall, the French Embassy in Washington D.C., and on French National Television) and has shared the stage with Jaime Laredo, the Paris Piano Trio, Trio Pasquier, Borromeo String Quartet and Trey Anastasio of Phish. She has a special affinity for opera and performs in the orchestras of Boston Lyric Opera, and the Green Mountain Opera Festival. In demand as a soloist, of her 2011 West Coast tour, The San Francisco Classical Voice called her "...a most excellent soloist….elegantly beautiful."

Kevra is the founder and Artistic Director of Capital City Concerts and directs Summer Music from Greensboro, both based in Vermont. When she's not playing the flute, you can find her at home preparing Middle Eastern feasts, digging in the garden, and listening to her beloved Red Sox on the radio.


Anna Reinersman, harpist, began her harp studies at the age of 7, holding her first position as Principal Harp for the Rocky Mountain Symphony in Utah at the age of 14. Praised by The New York Times as “an elegant harpist”, she performs extensively throughout New York and Boston. Ms. Reinersman recently returned from a tour of Japan with the Metropolitan Opera, playing “La Boheme” and is currently in the pit for the revival of “On A Clear Day You Can See Forever” starring Harry Connick, Jr. She was the harpist for the entire run of the Broadway smash hit “The Producers” and has performed with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, the Mostly Mozart Music Festival, and has toured the country with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra. She maintains an active career as a chamber musician with the Locrian Chamber Players, a contemporary ensemble, the Chameleon Arts Ensemble, a Boston based chamber group and the Larkspur Trio. Comfortable in a variety of musical settings, she has performed with such contemporary pop artists as Joni Mitchell, Diana Krall, Alicia Keyes, and the indie band Hem. Ms. Reinersman is also cofounder and codirector of the Carolina Chamber Music Festival She can be heard on the soundtrack of the most recent “The Producers” movie, the cast album for the Broadway revival of “Finian’s Rainbow”, and various other commercial recordings.
